[2] Ortiz is most well-known for his work with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), where, as a former Light Heavyweight Champion and holding the title from April 14th, 2001 until September 26 2003, he was the Light Heavyweight Champion. Along with fighters like Randy Couture and Chuck Liddell He was among the sport's early stars. Ortiz became the biggest pay-per-view draw of 2006 thanks to his battles with Forrest Griffin, Ken Shamrock and Liddell.
