Deepika Padukone
Deepika Padukone (pronounced [di:pIka p@dUko:ne":" or "pa:dUko:nBorn 5 January 1986) is an Indian actress, who is primarily in Hindi films. 3 Filmfare Awards have been given to her making one of the country's most highly-paid actresses. Time Magazine named Padukone one of the 100 most influential people of influence in the world for 2018. They also gave her an award called the TIME100 Impact Award 2022. Padukone, the daughter of the famous badminton player Prakash Padukone, was born in Copenhagen and educated in Bangalore. She played badminton at national tournaments in her teens, but she gave up playing to become a model. In the next few years, she started receiving requests to perform in films. Her first acting job was playing Aishwarya, the Kannada protagonist. Padukone performed alongside Shah Rukh Khan a dual actor as a dual character in Om Shanti Om, her first Bollywood film. The film brought her an award from the Filmfare Award as Best Female Debut. Padukone received praise by critics for her portrayal as the lead character in Love Aaj Kal, but she suffered a brief backlash.
