Anna Paquin

Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, was raised in Wellington) is the name of a Canadian actor from Canada. Paquin is a Canadian as well as a New Zealand-born actress. Born in Winnipeg but raised in Wellington She had her first appearance as an actor in The Piano. In this romance film, at the age of eleven years of age, Paquin won her second Oscar for Best Actress. The actress was chosen to play Flora McGrath the daughter of an muffled Scottish pianist, who in the middle of 19th century, moves into New Zealand for an arranged wedding when she answered an open audition call when she was just nine years old and had almost no previous experience as an actor. When she was in her teens, the actress made the move to America. Paquin started her acting career in the midst of her childhood with a character in the Jane Eyre main character in the Franco Zeffirelli novel Jane Eyre followed by an important role on the film Fly Away Home. Paquin played Frankie Addams, a character from Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding in 1997. In Steven Spielberg's Amistad in 1997, she played the queen of Spain in a smaller role. She played teenage girls in of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) and portrayed her Polexia Aphrodisa character on the screen in Almost Famous (2000).
