In 2017 Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi as well as Daddy Yankee released Despacito and it was the top-streamed track during the course of 6 months. In 2017, the song Despacito, a mixture of reggaeton and pop was not only a way to bring new attention to reggaeton music but also increased interest in Latin music. The Billboard Top 100 featured two songs which were Spanish generally, and four songs in the year 2016. The popularity of Despacito was at its highest in 2017. In 2020 there will be 41 primarily Spanish songs will be included in the top 100. In the wake of Justin Bieber's dual remix to Despacito (2017) well-known artists soon began collaborating with reggaeton musicians, such as Drake along with Bad Bunny on MIA (2018) and Madonna with Maluma in Medellin (2019). Some reggaeton artists have criticized the shift to mainstream music in the year 2020. But a new band, Rauw Alejandro was determined to keep the evolution and development of reggaeton. Rauw Alejandro incorporated elements of other styles and electronic music.
